Canasta Basica

A photographic series in which everyday items from the basic food basket become the subjects of cosmic representation.
This body of work repositions essential goods — ordinary, utilitarian objects rooted in daily survival — and presents them as celestial bodies, improbable constellations, or orbiting systems.

Through this visual metaphor, the everyday is elevated to the cosmic, dissolving the boundaries between the material and the symbolic. Rice, tortillas, eggs, and beans become satellites of a domestic universe where necessity and wonder coexist.
