México en la piel
In collaboration with Andrés Villalobos
An exploration of Mexican identity constructed through media apparatuses as a system of ideological imposition. The project examines how narratives produced by the media shape symbols, stereotypes, and emotions that influence the collective perception of what is considered “Mexican.”
The work unfolds as a deconstruction that becomes an immersive space, composed of video installations, sound, photography, and painting. Each element acts as a layer that reveals and questions the ways in which the image of Mexico is imprinted—both literally and metaphorically—on the skin of its people.
