México en tus sentidos
In collaboration with Andrés Villalobos

A conceptual interview that exposes the classicist mindset of one of the key figures responsible for constructing the national image through monumental museums, photography, and video. For over two presidential terms, this creator worked with successive governments, defining and consolidating an official notion of what is considered Mexican and folkloric.

In this conversation, Willie Souza inadvertently reveals the ideological apparatus underlying his work. The piece functions as a critical mirror, where the interviewee’s own words lay bare the power structures and imaginaries that have shaped the cultural representation of the nation.
